So really, what has been happening?

NOT MUCH!  Okay there is work, an embroidery project-towels for a couple of 1 year olds, and more work. The little pillow is not finished, the L.O.V.E. quilt is not done and the tutorial is not finished, I have nothing, zippo, zero (except for the towels that were embroidered, that counts right?).

So why not much more? Well work has taken it all out of me.  Not because the work is hard it is because-well you know, oh I love where I work, I love so many of those around me, but somtimes-well you know. So in the evening I come home and enjoy a bit of quiet time, waste time on poor me thoughts (when I should use this time for a better purpose) then I prepare for the next day to come.

Well I am here to declare THIS HAS TO STOP.  I will not let this small moment of time control my happy place! Commence to create!

It is like this:
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Dr. Seuss was so wise. I can choose to create (aka quilt) or I can have a personal pity party. I believe it will be "I choose to create"!

So here is a picture of the practice towel that I embroidered.  The "real ones" are with the deserving little 1 year olds.

So I think this counts as doing something right?

Love always,
Jan

  1. Love your summer towel. Yes, I think it counts. Anything creative will probably save your weary soul! I'm in a messy spot at work, myself, and not very productive at home. The only thing that shuts it off is quilting. Do know this, though, it is temporary. Better times are ahead, so hang in there. Blessings on your feet taking you in the right direction.
